The island of Hvar is a bit like a symphony. It’s the way the light shines on stone, how the waves sound against the shore and laughter curls through old streets. This summer, we’ve taken that island rhythm and given it a soundtrack: a handpicked playlist that pairs songs with the places that inspired them. From sleepy hamlets to the wild cliffs above the Adriatic, each track holds the spirit of a moment, a mood and a corner of this island we love.

Much like Hvar, music has the power to stir memories and awaken feelings. These songs colour the experience, folding sound into scent, taste and the endless blue around you.

So, here it is: our 2025 summer playlist of places. Let it guide you across the island, one song at a time.

Kokomo – The Beach Boys — Ivan Dolac

Imagine the first cool breeze of dawn at Ivan Dolac, when it seems as if the world comes to a halt. “Kokomo” feels like sunshine in your soul, pairing perfectly with that soft Adriatic glow. It’s an open invitation to breathe in the sea air and taste the salt-sweet promise of summer.

Kokomo - The Beach Boys

Tucked above the turquoise shallows of Ivan Dolac, Villa Lyra mirrors the song’s easy tune – a sunlit terrace, stone and glass dissolving into the horizon. It’s the kind of place where “Kokomo” could have been written, a private perch for watching the sea slip into daydream.

On a Clear Day (You Can See Forever) – Sammy Davis Jr. — Dol

High above Dol, where limestone paths meet sweeping vistas of the bay, this song drifts across the sky like clarity in sound. Davis Jr’s soaring vocals echo the sheer openness of the vista, the clarity of air and the sunlight dancing on the sea below. It wraps the senses in a moment of joy, as if the horizon truly stretches forever.

On a Clear Day - Sammy Davis Jr.

Give a Little – Ash — Hvar Town

There’s a certain electricity to Hvar Town as the evening rolls in and the harbour lights begin to twinkle. “Give a Little” thrums with the same tune, a kind of cheerful and youthful pulse that parallels the town’s playful side. The rhythm spills out like champagne on the riva, fizzing and free.

Give a Little – Ash

Villa Hermes Blue is a front-row seat to Hvar Town’s vibrant heartbeat – sleek, modern and effortlessly stylish in shades of blue. It’s the perfect base for nights that sparkle and spill over, just like its view that spills into the sea.

Movement – Hozier — Brusje

Above Brusje, where lavender fields meet the silence of the old stones, this song unfurls like the sway of wildflowers in the island breeze. Hozier’s voice carries the same weight and softness as the hills here. It’s something that moves quietly through you, a slow-burning hymn to the land itself.

Movement – Hozier

Something Will Happen – Berlioz — Basina

Basina has that drowsy charm of a cove that belongs to itself. This track has the same promise. It’s languid and low-key but somewhere in its rhythm is a sense that the day might just surprise you. A soft ripple of jazz drifts over the water like something is about to begin.

Something Will Happen – Berlioz

More Than This – Roxy Music — Stari Grad

Everything slows down in Stari Grad. “More Than This” settles over the old town like dusk, tender and a little wistful. It’s a love letter to a moment you know you can’t quite hold on to. It's somewhere between memory and now.

More Than This – Roxy Music

Villa Pontus feels like the pause between lyrics. Its contemporary lines tuck into the pines with views that drift out to sea. It holds that same quiet longing as “More Than This”, a house made for those who want to lose themselves in nature’s solitude.

Elegantly Wasted – Hermanos Gutiérrez — Humac

Humac exudes quietude, a scatter of stone where time has slipped its tether. “Elegantly Wasted” drifts through its empty lanes like heat rising off the rocks – sun-baked with a wild and untamed edge. It’s as if the old houses themselves are breathing out in no hurry for the world to find them again.

Elegantly Wasted – Hermanos Gutiérrez

Villa Eos mirrors Humac’s rugged calm. It’s all about wide horizons with nothing but sky and stone for company. It’s the kind of place where “Elegantly Wasted” feels inevitable, stretching out the hours until they blur into the landscape.

Luna Rossa – Renzo Arbore — Zaraće Village

Zaraće’s turquoise bay folds around you, wrapping you in its legends of long ago. “Luna Rossa” spins that same nostalgic thread. It’s a gentle and swaying tune that seems to slow the tide itself. As if it could coax the moon a little closer to the sea.

Luna Rossa – Renzo Arbore

Villa Hera is perched above Zaraće’s glassy bay, where moonlight spills across the terraces just as “Luna Rossa” drifts through the night. It’s where the world pares back to sea, stone and song, and it is spellbinding.

Back on 74 – Jungle — Jelsa

Jelsa has rhythm. You’ll find it in the clinking of glasses at cafe bars and chatter spilling onto cobbled streets. “Back on 74” picks up that groove and runs with it. Its playful and sunlit swagger feels like the whole town is in on the same beat. It’s impossible not to move.

Back on 74 – Jungle

Villa Natalis is tucked into Jelsa’s lively heart, yet it keeps one foot firmly in calm. Like “Back on 74”, it has that easy groove where you can dance barefoot by the pool before heading down to join the buzz in the harbour.

No One’s Watching Me – Ezra Collective — Ager

The Ager carries a peace that settles deep in your chest, with a wide-open expanse where everything feels impossibly big. This track has that same sense of freedom, a jazzy looseness as if no one is watching and the world is all yours. It’s soulful music that gives life to the island.

No One’s Watching Me – Ezra Collective

Blojska Rapsodija – Valentino Bošković — Milna

“Blojska Rapsodija” bubbles with Dalmatian quirk. It’s a slightly offbeat ode to summer that fits Milna’s easy and breezy spirit. It’s pure island fun, bottled in song and will make you want to hum along.

Blojska Rapsodija – Valentino Bošković

Until I Found You – Stephen Sanchez — Gromin Dolac

Gromin Dolac is where the pines and sea meet. This song carries that same wide-eyed tenderness. Its melody drifts like a slow dance under a sky full of stars. It feels like discovering a summer love all over again.

Until I Found You – Stephen Sanchez

Fire for You – Cannons — Dubovica

There’s a lazy pulse to Dubovica. It’s all about sun on skin and endless swims. “Fire for You” smoulders with that special summer heat, a slow-burn groove that stretches the afternoon into evening. It’s a sunset in song.

Fire for You – Cannons

Calling Your Name – Jon Batiste — Svirče

Tucked inland and surrounded by vineyards, Svirče feels like a place the world forgot. This track is warm and rich. It feels like calling someone in from the fields for supper. Its all honeyed tones and easy joy. It’s as gentle as the evening air.

Calling Your Name – Jon Batiste

Villa Iris is set among Svirče’s sea of vines and feels like it’s been poured out of the same golden light as “Calling Your Name”. Its stone terraces and country feel offer a slow and soulful retreat for the body and mind.

Father Figure – George Michael — St. Nicholas Peak

Climb up to St. Nicholas and the island unfolds beneath you. “Father Figure” moves with the same depth. It carries a kind of intimate grandeur that makes the world below seem so small. It’s a song for standing still and feeling it all.

Father Figure – George Michael

Pon Pon – Khruangbin — Rudine

Rudine has a wild edge, half-ruined and half-reclaimed by the hills. This tune rolls in like a summer breeze. It’s funky, a bit sly and utterly unhurried. It could even make those old village stones sway.

Pon Pon – Khruangbin

She Drives Me Crazy – Fine Young Cannibals — Malo Grablje

Deserted but never dull, Malo Grablje is a ghost village with a grin. “She Drives Me Crazy” spins through the empty lanes like a rogue spark. It’s cheeky, restless and impossible to ignore. Even the walls seem to tap along.

She Drives Me Crazy – Fine Young Cannibals

Bossa Nova Hand Dance – Connie Francis — Velo Grablje

Velo Grablje buzzes with bees and the heady scent of lavender. It’s an old village wrapped in sunlight. This little bossa nova flirts in with the same carefree sway, light on its feet and full of summer mischief. It’s pure noon-day happiness.

Bossa Nova Hand Dance – Connie Francis

Villa Ourea sits among the stone paths of Velo Grablje. It’s rustic yet polished, with a terrace made for afternoons by the pool. It matches the sunny sway of “Bossa Nova Hand Dance”, with a rhythm all its own.

Losing You – Solange — Zavala

Zavala is a little like a dream you only half-remember. But in it, you know you’re swimming towards something. Solange’s voice carries the same delicate ache, tender and a little far away, like a song you can almost see as your arms stretch the waves.

Losing You – Solange

Villa Prometheus captures Zavala’s ethereal charm with its serene terraces and sweeping sea vistas, offering a sanctuary where Solange’s haunting melodies sing through every breeze. The beauty of the coast and the soft beat of “Losing You” ask you to lose and find yourself in the moment.

To the End – La Comedie — Zaraće (Malo & Velo Bay)

Two bays side by side, mirrored like twins. This song has a melody that folds over itself like turquoise water lapping white rock. Everything here melts into a tender haze. It’s intoxicating in all the right ways.

To the End – La Comedie

Suzanne – Mark Ronson & RAYE — Vrisnik

Vrisnik is like a time machine. It rises from the olive groves, stubborn and stone-built. “Suzanne” spins through its narrow lanes with a kind of soulful cool. It’s modern but made to linger. It’s a beat that feels both old and new.

Suzanne – Mark Ronson & RAYE

Parfum Orange – La Grande Dame — Pitve

In Pitve, there’s an air of mystery that permeates like perfume. This track drifts in like an amber sky. It’s smoky, slow and with just a hint of wildness under its synthy sounds. It feels right at home in the village’s calm nooks.

Parfum Orange – La Grande Dame

Sweat – ZAYN — Vrboska

Vrboska, with its slender canals and stone bridges, hides a slow-burning energy beneath its postcard calm. This song plays on that. It’s sultry, magnetic and impossible to shake. It’s the sound of the harbour when the air turns thick and the moon hangs low.

Sweat – ZAYN

Villa Poseidon lets you sink into Vrboska’s quieter side while keeping that magnetic pull close at hand. It balances elegance with heat – cool stone walls and shaded terraces by day and prime access to the town’s balmy nights.

The Stage – Shura — Sveta Nedjelja

Sveta Nedjelja is a stage carved by nature where cliffs and the sea crash together. This song holds that same theatrical pause, with airy synths that stretch wide like staring out at the edge of the world.

The Stage – Shura

Being Boring – Pet Shop Boys — Pakleni islands

The Pakleni islands float like a string of emeralds. “Being Boring” drifts between them, nostalgic and bright, like a faded photo from a perfect summer. It’s a song that’s anything but boring but knows the value of doing nothing at all.

Being Boring – Pet Shop Boys

Patience – Faye Meana — Zastražišće / Gdinj / Poljica / Sućuraj

Let’s head to the hushed inland corners of the island, where lavender fields meet the slow roll of the sea. “Patience” by Faye Meana moves unhurriedly. It's velvety and a little hypnotic. It’s the sound of picking figs in the summer heat, days that stretch without end and evenings that smell of smoky grills.

Patience – Faye Meana

Villa Zeus rises from the wild and unspoilt side of Hvar with the kind of calm that makes time irrelevant. Surrounded by olive groves and big skies, it's a place where the days unspool gently and the island’s eastern silence becomes its own kind of luxury.

Be The One – Dua Lipa — The island of Hvar

And finally, the whole island in one track: bright, bold and impossible to ignore. “Be The One” is everything – the wind in your hair on a boat, the heat of tight alleyways at midnight and the taste of salt and citrus. It’s Hvar island in all of its summer glory.
